Hunting in her 3rd season at the time of this photo, Avery had retrieved more birds than most dogs see in a lifetime. Approaching 1000 retrieves on wild birds, Avery and Matt followed the migration from Canada on down to Kansas each year. "Great job Matt and Avery!"
A once in lifetime dog, Avery was taken way too soon and died in the spring of 2009 due to a unknown toxin. She is sadly missed and fondly remembered by all that knew her.
